He was born January 5, 1949 at Peoria the son of Wayne M. and Lois Hazel (Fox) Smith Sr. He married Penny L. Sheets on July 28, 1968 at Lewistown. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Matthew C. Smith of Lewistown, one daughter, Mintonya Holt of Lewistown, three grandchildren, Samantha Young, Vanessa Smith, and Hunter Smith, three great-grandchildren, Wyatt Young, Briar Postin, and Quinn Young, and one sister, Shelley Smith of Farmington. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters.
Tony worked at Caterpillar as a millwright and retired after 31 years. He then worked for the millwright union for 11 years and later drove for FS in Lewistown. He was a member of the Lewistown United Methodist Church and the UAW Local 974. Tony had been a Waterford Township Supervisor and currently a Waterford Township Trustee. Tony was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time with family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
His funeral will be at 11:00 AM Monday March 17th at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Pastor Shane Smith officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Lewistown.
