Ronald L. Romine

Ronald L. Romine, 89, of Canton, passed away at 3:37 AM on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Seminary Manor in Galesburg. He was born on April 21, 1935 in Canton, a son of Stewart and Ella (Gorsuch) Romine. He married Joyce Post on July 30, 1955 in Canton. She preceded him in death on February 17, 2018.

Also, preceding Ronald in death were his parents, son Douglas Allen Romine, and three brothers, Gayle, Bill, and Kenny.

Surviving is his daughter, Deborah “Debbie” Ryan of Canton; three grandchildren, Allison Ryan, Jeffery “Jeff” (Kate) Ryan, Scott Romine; three great-grandchildren, Kimberly (Taylor) Brooks, Brooke Hendricks, Grady Ryan, and two great-great-grandchildren, Kason and Kinsley Brooks.

Ronald worked and retired from Navistar in Springfield, Ohio, was a past member of the Eastside Nazarene Church in Canton, and member of Canton Elks Lodge #626. He enjoyed reading about Civil War History, collecting, and looking for Old Farmall tractors, and loved woodworking, as he made several items for his family. But most of all, was the love he had for his family and friends.
