She was born on August 18, 1944 in Rushville to Harry and Lois (Clayton) Blurton.
Surviving are her children, Michael (Debra Zaborac) Johnson, Wendy (Todd) McGurk, one brother, Harry “Sonny” Blurton, four grandchildren, Rebecca Johnson, whom she raised, Christina (Brian) Davis, Maykayla McGurk, Morgan Staley and five great grandchildren, Brylea, Justin, Lukas, Maverick and Brooklynn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Jeff Johnson, one infant son, Robert, one daughter, Cindy Johnson and the love of her life John Svetich.
She was an avid St Louis Cardinal and Chicago Bears fan. She enjoyed to fish, camping and spending time at the Canton Elks Lodge and the Canton American Legion.
Per her wishes cremation rites have been accorded with the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton and a graveside burial of the ashes will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 2 pm at the White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.
Memorials may be made to the Fulton County Humane Society.
