He is survived by two children, Andrea Stanley and Steven Landon; five grandchildren, Eric, Dustin, and Joey Stanley, Sadie and Sofia Landon; one brother, William “Bill” Landon; several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Rodney and Joseph Landon Jr; and one sister, Elsie Jane Landon.
Lowell served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged on July 25, 1971. He enjoyed spending time fishing, drawing cartoon characters, bowling, and hanging out with his brother Bill. Lowell worked on many jobs over his life including working as a brakeman for the CB & Q Railroad.
Cremation rites will be accorded with Anderson-Sedgwick Funer Home in Farmington, IL. Burial of ashes will be held at Smithville Cemetery in rural Hanna City, IL at a later date.
