He was born on May 31, 1945 in Rushville to James H. and Mary (Green) Tutt. They preceded him in death.
He married Karen Williams on September 11, 1966 in Canton. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Kim (Bobby) Anderson of Canton, Brian (Nicole) Tutt of Canton, four grandchildren, Nick (Megan) Anderson, Samantha Anderson, Kaitlynn Tutt and Emily Tutt.
Jim graduated from the Logan Chiropractic College in St Louis in 1967. He worked for Caterpillar Tractor Company in Peoria as a Chemist retiring after 37 years of service. He was a longtime member of the Canton Elks Lodge #626 and served on various board positions. Jim would always enjoy a good day of washing and polishing his cars in his driveway followed by some front porch sitting and relaxing. He was an avid St Louis Cardinal fan.
Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded with the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
