He was born on December 29, 1944 in Ellisville to Lemuel and Laura (Eberhard) Sorrells. They preceded him in death.
He married Sharon McGhee on August 10, 1968 in Canton. She preceded him in death on May 18, 2020.
Surviving is one brother, four sisters and several nieces and nephews.
Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded with the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton. A private burial of the ashes will be held at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.
