She was born on March 11, 1934 in Galesburg to Robert and Marjorie (Smith) Tucker.
She married Gerald Doran on January 16, 1953 in Cheyenne, WY. He preceded her in death on February 13, 2024.
Also surviving are three children, Hope (Bill) Koontz of Rolla, MO, Holly (Bob) Skau of Peoria, Rodney (Pam) Doran of Marquette Heights, eight grandchildren, Gretchen (Lee) Arganbright, Heather (Kevin) Sprouse, Karen (Larry) Shelby, Aaron (Michelle) Koontz, Jennifer (Brett Dye) Kang, Kristine (Chris) Pavelka, Rodney Michael Doran II, Tina Michelle Doran, eighteen great grandchildren, Melvin, Benjamin, Logan, Alex, Tristan, Kalahn, Giddeon, Isaac, Jacob, Matthew, Jacey, Oliver, Melodi, Auston, Madison, Landon, Bentley, Kaitlyn and one great great grandchild Kaden.
Marilyn worked for the National Life Insurance Company and for Doctor Wambacher’s Office in Peoria.
Per their wishes cremation rites have been accorded with the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton. A graveside service with the burial of Marilyn and Gerald’s ashes will be held at St Patrick Cemetery in Kickapoo on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11 am. Military rites will be accorded for Gerald.
Memorials may be made to the Brimfield American Legion.
