Teresa Santini

Teresa Santini, 76, of Peoria, formerly of Chicago, passed away at 9:36 AM, on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at River Crossing of East Peoria. She was born on October 14, 1946, in Guatemala; a daughter of Santos Benedicto and Jovita (Cuevas) Barrientos, and beloved wife of Gary Santini. 

Surviving Teresa are her children, Julio (Rene) Cedillo of Ipava, Mayra (Mark) Thompson of Elk Grove Village, Elizabeth (Thomas) McGann of Chicago, and Wesley Santini of Rockford; six grandchildren, Blake, Sarah, Arianna, Madisen, Mason, Amiya; one great-grandchild, Björn; her brother, Carlos Barrientos; and two sisters, Amparo Barrientos, and Angela Diaz.

Preceding her in death were both of her parents; and one brother, Pedro Enrique Barrientos.

Teresa worked for Peoples Gas in Chicago until retiring after 30 plus years of service. She was of the Catholic Faith.

As per her wishes, there will be no services. Cremation rites will be accorded through Sedgwick Funeral Homes and Crematory in Canton. Burial of ashes will be in her home country, Guatemala.
