Michael R. Webber

Michael R. Webber, 77, of Havana passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 6:54 p.m. He was born on May 25, 1946 in Bradford, Illinois to Robert P. and Lillian P. (Drummond) Webber. He married Debra L. Dufelmeier and she survives.

Michael is also survived by his children, Michelle (Jerrod) Kelley of Alexandria, Minnesota, Mikey (Jessie) Webber of Eagan, Minnesota, Ryan (Emily) Webber of Alexandria, Minnesota, Nicole (Kevin) Taylor of Alexandria, Minnesota, and Lindsey (Tim) French of Chestnut, Illinois; grandchildren Shane, Sarah, and Sam Kelley, Noah and Rava Webber, Jackson, Ella, and Levi Webber, Lexi and Lucas Taylor, and Conner and Calvin French; and siblings, Patricia Angelo of Abingdon, Illinois, Robert (Donna) Webber of Commence, Michigan, Peggy (James) Hand of Osceola, Illinois, Dianne Webber of Kewanee, Illinois, Crystol (John) Hand of Elmira, Illinois, and Ronald Webber of Detroit, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Terry and James Webber, and long-time companion and friend Destiny.
Michael was a member of the Havana Southern Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1966 to 1971 and then worked for Caterpillar for 30 years. He enjoyed working in his yard, feeding the birds, playing pool, and walking his dog, Destiny. He especially loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana, with a visitation one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Rev. Kevin Taylor will officiate. Burial will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery at a later date.
