Barbara "Sue" Sisk Wiseman

Barbara “Sue” Sisk Wiseman, 81, passed away on June 26, 2023, at her home; surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and her husband of 46 years. She was born on February 2, 1942 in DuQuoin, IL, to Henry and Lucille (Johnson) Sisk.


Sue graduated from DuQuoin High School in 1960. After graduating, she married Glen Siefert and they moved To Cuba, IL, where they had two children. She later married Ronald Wiseman of Canton.


Sue worked many years as a cook for the Cuba High School. Afterwards, her and her husband moved to Vandalia, IL, where she worked at Krogers for 15 years before retiring in 2006. She was a lifelong member of the Order of the Eastern Star.


Surviving Sue is her husband, Ron; her son Wade Siefert of Dunlap, IL; Her daughter Jean Ann Siefert of Cuba; two step sons, David (Kelly) Wiseman of Muncie, IN, and Scott (Lauren) Wiseman of Bloomington, IL; two step daughters, Robin Wiseman of Olympia, WA, and Amy (Brian) Holaday of Marthaville, MO; 5 grandchildren, Grant Siefert, Colin Siefert, Adam Siefert, Courtney Kasemeyer, and Tiffany Siefert; and two great- grandchildren, Hunter and Brooklyn Kasemeyer. Her grandchildren called her “Grandma Bubba.”


Sue was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Bud Sisk; two sisters, Fay Fly and Jean Sisk; and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Stufflebean.


As per her wishes, there will be no services. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes and Crematory. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
