She was born October 11, 1958, in Peoria, to Byron and Patricia (Johnson) Lippert. She married Nathan Miles on May 16, 1997, in Elmwood. He survives.
She is also survived by two children, Ron Powell of Elmwood and Tony Powell of Wyoming, IL; two brothers, Sidney (Linda) Bedford and Edward Moore; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Joy Staggs.
Marilyn loved painting and taking care of her animals, especially her cats. She was a member of Crossroads Assembly of God in Elmwood.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Crossroads Assembly of God Church in Elmwood. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
