Nancy Skaggs

Hanna City-Nancy “Noni” Skaggs, 71, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017, at her residence.
She was born on September 25, 1946, in Peoria to Richard and Margaret (McIntyre) Thompson.  They preceded her in death.
She married Carl D. Skaggs on November 21, 1964 in Peoria.  He preceded her in death on December 22, 2007.
Surviving are her children, Denise (Jack) Strube-Pieper of Canton, Jeffrey (Jamie) Skaggs of Trivoli, Toby (Dawn) Skaggs of Hanna City, Ryan (Carla) Skaggs of Farmington, one brother, Tom Thompson of Bellevue, eleven grandchildren, Lacey, Alex, Corey, Jessee, Victoria, Kyle, Macae, McKenzie, Seth, Zach, Kamrie and three great grandchildren, Lydia, Christian and Esther.
Also surviving is one brother and two sisters.
Her sister Peggy Smith also preceded her in death.
Nancy was a purchasing agent for Wilkins Pipe and Supply in Peoria.  She attended Wesley United Methodist Church, a member of the Women of the Moose, past member of the Order of the Eastern Star.  She also enjoyed bowling and crocheting.
Most of all she loved her family and being a mother and grandmother.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am, on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton with a visitation one hour prior at the funeral home.
Cremation rites will be accorded following the service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude.
