Canton – Maxine Elaine Kovacevich, 89, of Canton, passed away at 10:04 PM on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Graham Hospital. She was born on January 12, 1928 in Canton to Samuel and Ocea (Miller) Eyerly. She married Joseph A. Kovacevich on November 9, 1947 in Canton, he preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, one son, Rick Kovacevich, one grandchild, and one sister, Charlotte Montgomery.
Surviving are three children, Lex Kovacevich of OR, Jodi (Michael) Keller of Cedar Falls, IA, and Kulli (Steve) Weaver of Lewistown; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Maxine was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She loved gardening, being outdoors, and her dog, KiKi.
Graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, January 3, 2017 at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton, IL. Rev. K. Bruce Rushing will officiate. Memorials can be made to Meals on Wheels. To make online condolences you may go to www.sedgwickfuneralhomes.com
