James M. Franciskovich

Canton – James M. Franciskovich, 72, of Canton, passed away at 7:40 AM on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Sunset Rehabilitation Center. He was born on September 8, 1945 in Canton to Vancil and Marjorie (Smith) Franciskovich. He married Maureen Preece on January 7, 1977 in Canton. She preceded him in death on November 25, 2016.

Also preceding him in death were his parents.

Surviving is one son, Doug (Stacy) Kosier of Canton; two grandchildren, Isabella and Ian Kosier; three brothers, John Franciskovich of Canton, and Vancil and Paul Franciskovich of Wee-ma-tuk; and one sister, Mary Riegal of Canton.

James worked at Caterpillar for 35 years. He was a member of the Canton VFW and the American Legion in Canton.

James served in the United States Army.

Per James request there will be no services. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Burial of ashes will be held at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton, IL. Memorials can be made to the Humane Society of Fulton County.
