West Peoria -Joseph Lidwell, 92, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at the Clayberg Nursing Home in Cuba.
He was born on August 21, 1925, in St. David to John and Nancy (Renfro) Lidwell. They preceded him in death along with his friend Jack Randall, brothers, Ed, Dale, Sam, Bill and Alan, sisters, Rosalie Maxwell, Connie Slater, Margaret Sawyer and Edna Lidwell.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Joe served in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1946 in the Hospital Corp and later graduated from Proctor Hospital as an X-Ray technician and the Peoria Barber School.
He was a member of the American Society of X-Ray Technicians and the American Registry of Radiological Technicians.
A graveside service will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery in Canton on Monday, January 8, 2018, at 1PM.
Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton has been entrusted with arrangements.
