Canton – Barbara Lynn Bickel, 74, of Canton, passed away at 3:05 AM on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Clayberg Nursing Center in Cuba, IL. She was born on February 9, 1943 in Canton to Lawrence and Hazel (Bishop) Brown. She first married Jose Patino on January 27, 1962, she later married Roscoe Bickel on November 24, 1976 in Canton, IL, he survives.
Also surviving are two children, Diana (Jeff) Keime of Lewistown and Janet (Dennis) Welker of Lewistown; three grandchildren, Abram (Carrie) Pierson of Kingston, TN, Jason Keime of Lewistown, IL, and Chantel Welker of Sterling, CO; two great-grandchildren, Ayden Pierson of Kingston, TN and Breyana Cansino of Dallas, TX; and one brother, Larry (Carol) Brown.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Kerry Brown and one sister, Janet Lee Brown.
Barbara worked in medical records at Heartland Health Care and Renaissance Care Center and was also self-employed for many years. She was a member of Bryant Christian Church. Barbara loved crafts, weaving, spinning wool, crocheting, quilting, wood carving and reading.
Per Barbara’s wishes there will be no services. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Clayberg Nursing Center. To make online condolences you may go to www.sedgwickfuneralhomes.com
