Christopher A. Hobbs, 22, of Bartonville, formally of Canton, passed away at 9:55 PM on Monday, January 1, 2018 at his home. He was born on September 15, 1995 in Peoria, IL to Marc M. Hobbs and Regina M. (Sheridan) Hobbs.
Surviving is his brother, Marcus of Bartonville; sister, Madeline of Canton; paternal grandmother, Jane Hobbs of Canton, paternal great-grandma, Sally Krulac of Canton; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, paternal grandfather, and maternal grandparents.
Christopher loved traveling, Peru was a favorite destination. He loved history and was especially fascinated with anything concerning John F. Kennedy. He loved flying and has finished a number of hours toward his pilot’s license. He loved working and being outdoors and aspired to have his own business one day. Christopher was a gentle soul and now he is at peace.
Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. A private burial of ashes will be at Greenwood Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to OSF Children’s Hospital of Peoria, Fulton County Humane Society in Canton, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
