Suellen E. Broadfield

Suellen E. Broadfield, 79, of Elmwood, passed away at 2:50 p.m., on Monday, July 3, 2023, at Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville. She was born December 4, 1943, in Galesburg, to Carl and Maxine (Thomas) Swanson. She married Raymond Broadfield in Missouri in 1983. He preceded her in death in December 2002.

She is survived by three children, Kerry Williams of Elmwood, Paula (Scot) Jehle of Elmwood, and Jeff (Dianna) Yoakum of Weatherford, TX; and nine grandchildren, Jessica (Johnny) Mathis, Sawyer Williams, Nick Jehle, Matthew Jehle, Ethan Jehle, Yalile Johnson, Shaye (Clayton) Ruter, Jada Portillo, and Parker Yoakum.

She is also preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Gloria (Bill) Wiseman.

Suellen graduated in 1977 from Illinois Central College with her Registered Nurse Degree. She worked at many hospitals, nursing homes, and doctor’s offices in the surrounding areas.
