Jerry was born December 13, 1940 at Canton, IL; to Hubert E. and Dorothy E. (Lindstom) Southwood. He first Married Mary Jane Schleich they were later divorced. Jerry is survived by two sons, Craig (Christy) of Lewistown, and Chris (Tammy) of Astoria, five grandchildren, Tyler (Tiffany) of Havana, Joey (Lauren) of Lebanon, MO; Lauren of Lewistown, and Brock and Dylan of Lewistown, three great grandchildren, Aiden and Gavin of Havana, and Drew of Lebanon, MO; one sister, Judy Demoss of Canton, one brother, Gary (Delores) of Canton, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his best friend and life partner Jane Hobbs. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Ronnie and Richard.
Jerry loved fishing, auctions, and yard sales. He loved to share stories. He was affectionally called Pudge as a youth, to the present by family and friends and most recently “Grandpa Pudgie” by his great granddaughter Drew. To many people when ask his name he would say “Jerry Niceguy”. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Per his wishes there will be no services. Cremation will be accorded. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown is assisting the family with arrangements.
