Rebecca "Beck" Ann Henkle

Rebecca “Becky” Ann Henkle, 89, of Canton, passed away, Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Red Oak Estates in Canton. She was born on March 3, 1934, in Monmouth to Harold and Hazel (Jaeger) Vercoe. They preceded her in death. She married William “Bill” Henkle on May 21, 1979. He preceded her in death on June 25, 2016. She is survived by five children, Deirdre “Dee” (Dave) Miller, Kirk (Karen) Lingenfelter, Becky (Ryk) Howell, Gene (Debbie) Lingenfelter Jr., and Brian (Debbie Yerbic) Lingenfelter, two step children, Stacey Brantley, and Kimberly (Brian) Hines, twelve grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, one niece Meredith Henderson, one nephew Harold Jon Vercoe, four step grandchildren, and one step great grandchild. Also preceding her in death is one son Jon Vercoe Lingenfelter, two brothers, Jon Vercoe, and Richard Vercoe, one sister, Barbara Henderson, the father of her children Gene Lingenfelter, and one nephew, David Henderson. Becky and Bill greatly enjoyed traveling all around in their RV, going on cruises, and loved their adventures. Becky never knew a stranger, and enjoyed socializing with people from all over. She was fun loving and loved to laugh and making everyone else laugh as well. The most important thing to her was being the best Mother and grandmother to all her children, and grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. visitation will be the same day, one hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow the services at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
