Also surviving are his children, Carol Ann (Shawn) Krishner of Oklahoma; Melissa (Jake) Morey of London Mills; Amber (Jayson) Waughtel of Carlyle; eleven grandchildren, Emerson, Ella, Eliza, Eden, and Jackson Krishner, Tanner (Hanna), and Tucker Watters; Taylor and Calliegh Morey, Tyson and Preston Waughtel, and one great-grandson, Waylon David; one sister, Marilyn (Steve) Cummings of Knoxville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Gary Vanvelsor, Butch Watters, and one sister, Sherida Schultz.
Mike worked various places over the years, but retired from Munson Seed Company in 2017. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and enjoyed going mushrooming, but most of all, drinking beer.
Graveside services and burial will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Fairview Cemetery in Fairview. Rev. Kevin VanTine will officiate. The family will also be holding a Celebration of Life gathering at the Storm Shelter in Avon on Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 12:00 PM (Noon) until 4:00 PM.
