He was born on May 15, 1983 in Canton to Eldon and Julie (Laird) Powers.
Surviving is his mother, Julie Laird-Zarley of Canton, father, Eldon Powers of Canton, two brothers, Eric (Jill) Powers of Norris, Jason Powers of Goodlettsville, TN, one nephew, Isaac and two nieces, Ryleigh and Jessica.
Scot enjoyed gardening around the house and had a passion for music. He was a free spirit and a very outgoing man.
Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded by Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
