Surviving is his mother of Canton, brother Joseph Massingale of Canton, four nieces; Lily (Massingale) Scalf of Lewistown, Loran Massingale of Lewistown, Taylor Massingale of Pekin and Brook (Massingale) Mason of Lewistown and one nephew Travis Newton of Aiden.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Rooster was an avid outdoorsman and loved everything to do with nature. He enjoyed feeding his fish, dog, cats, deer, geese and anything that wandered onto his property.
Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton are in charge of arrangements.
