Canton- Frederick Ambrose Walker, 77, of Canton, passed away at 7:53 PM on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Graham Hospital in Canton, IL. He was born on March 2, 1946, a son of Lester and Freida (Chewning) Walker. He married Alice Neville in 1971, she survives.
Also surviving Frederick is his son, Lloyd “Bunkie” (Lisa Nuttall) Walker of Dunfermline; two grandchildren, Dakotah Walker and Breitanya Laux; 5 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and his sister, Christal Walker.
Preceding him in death were both parents; one brother; and one sister.
Frederick worked as an architect. He was a member of many activities and groups; such as St Mary’s Catholic church, The Illinois State Rifle Association, The Studebaker Driver’s Club, Inc., and a life member of the American Motorcyclist Association. Riding motorcycles and hunting were two of his favorite things to do in his free time.
Funeral Mass for Frederick will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Canton, IL. Monsignor Timothy Nolan will officiate. Burial will follow services at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Canton, IL. A visitation will take place from 4:00-6:00 PM on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes and Crematory in Canton, IL. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory.
