Phyllis Jane Franklin, 80, of Canton, passed away at 12:20 PM on Monday, December 7, 2020 at Graham Hospital. She was born on December 24, 1939 in Galesburg, IL to Donald and Dorothy (Hoots) Franklin.
Surviving are two brothers, John Franklin and David (Etta) Franklin, three sisters, Carol Franklin, Ruth (Lloyd) Gordon and Janice (Joe) Canady; and several nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents.
Phyllis retired from the Illinois State Comptroller Office after 22 years. She was a member of the Church of God (Holiness) in Bellevue, IL. Phyllis loved reading and crocheting, especially crocheting hats, scarfs, and many other items for the homeless.
Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Wiley Cemetery in rural Ellisville, IL. Russell Richardson will officiate. Memorials can be made to the Peoria Outreach Mission. To make online condolences you may go to www.sedgwickfuneralhomes.com
