Amber Jo Walker, 46, of Peoria, formerly of Canton, passed away at 6:17 AM on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at her residence. She was born on November 19, 1974 in Canton, a daughter of Brent and Valerie (Fidler) Scalf. She married Aaron Walker on June 23, 2016 in Lexington, Kentucky. He survives.
Also surviving are beloved dogs, Boscoe, and Creasy; her father Brent Scalf of Wisconsin; her mother, Valerie Fidler of Tennessee; one brother, Brent (Melissa) Scalf of Wisconsin; two sisters, Kim (Brandon) Youngberg of Illinois; Ashley Scalf of Kentucky; Father-in-law, John (Barb) Walker of Canton; Step-father-in-law, Charles Bowman of Canton; sister-in-law, Mundy (Gary) Woodkirk of Canton; two brother-in-laws Ritchey (Shelly) Walker of Arizona; John (Tracy) Walker of Canton, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Glenna Scalf, Maternal grandparents; Dewey and Vada Fidler; cousin, Heather, and her mother-in-law, Judy Bowman.
Amber passion and love were for music, she was an avid singer, and loved Nashville, where she had met and knew a lot of music stars. She served her country as a United States Army veteran.
Per Amber’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded through Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton. A celebration of life service will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, December 7, 2020 at the Brew -N-Cue in Canton . Memorials can be made to her family.
