David Ralph Chaddock

David Ralph Chaddock, 75, passed away peacefully with his wife and two children by his side after a hard fought battle with COVID-19.

He was born on May 21, 1945 in Canton to Ralph "Si" and Margaret (Smith) Chaddock. They preceded him in death.

He married Chrystal Freeman on November 24, 1987 in Canton. She survives.

David was the proud father of two children, Tanya (Mike) Anderson-Myers of Canton and Bill Groat of Pekin. He treasured his children and embraced every moment with them. He will be fondly remembered by his five cherished grandchildren, Logan, Teagan, Bentley, Faith and Jake and by many nieces and nephews along with his brother, Phillip (Ellen) Chaddock and sister, Maralyn (Dale) Cleer. He also leaves behind his beloved four legged faithful companion, Bently.

Dave was known for his wit, infectious smile and his kind and compassionate spirit. Many referred to Dave as a "Big Teddy Bear". We always knew Dave was nearby as he was our "Polo" man (only the green bottle).

Dave had many passions in life. He spent many years boating, golfing and playing pool. He received numerous championship trophies for his involvement in these sports. Dave truly lived life to the fullest traveling with his wife and enjoying adventurous drives while listening to his favorite music in his Corvette.

Dave retired as the Business Manager at Art Hossler Auto Plaza in Canton in November of 2017.
