Canton – Kenneth Waldrop, 83, of
Pearland, TX, formerly of Canton, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2015, in
Houston Texas.
He was born on August 1, 1932 in
Fingerville, S.C. to Burness and Leila (Smith) Waldrop.
He first married Patricia
Howarter. She preceded him in death in
1974. He later married Dixie Silotto on
July 4, 1975 in Canton. She survives.
Also surviving are his children,
Kent (Terry) Waldrop of FL, Bruce Waldrop of Peoria Heights, Jon Waldrop of CO,
Joel (Lynne) Waldrop of Canton, step daughter Kelly (David) Menne of Pearland,
TX, ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and one sister Annette
Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his
parents, one step son, Scott Johnson and four sisters, Ruth, Myrtle, June and
Mildred.
Kenneth served in the U.S.
Airforce and later worked as a lab technician at Keystone Steel and Wire
retiring in 1998. He was an avid bowler
and Cub fan.
Cremation rites have been
accorded.
A graveside service will be held
at 10:30 am, Monday, November 16 at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.
Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton
is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s
Association.
