Richard “Dick” A. Bull


Liverpool – Richard “Dick” A. Bull, 78, of Liverpool passed away at 4:19 PM Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Mason District Hospital, Havana.
He was born June 22, 1936 in Liverpool to Everett and Dolores (Fouts) Bull.
Dick married Marilyn Metzger on June 10, 1956 at St. Peters Episcopal Church in Canton.
She survives along with two children, Denise (Terry) Postin of Canton and Rick (Darci) Bull of Liverpool; two grandchildren, Ryan (Emily) Bull and Rachel Bull both of Liverpool; two sisters, Patricia Mason of Canton and Kathryn Tarter of Lewistown; and his beloved dog, Shay.
His parents preceded him in death.
Dick was a lifetime farmer.
He was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in rural Lewistown.  He was a Prichard-Clark School board member, Spoon River FS board member, trustee of Buckheart Fire District, and Commissioner of West Liverpool Drainage District.  He was also a member of the American Angus Association, Illinois Corn Growers, and Fulton County Farm Bureau.
He had his pilot’s license and loved to fly.  He also loved duck hunting, raising and showing cattle, and following all of his grandchildren’s activities.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM Friday, June 12th at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home, Canton.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 13th at the Covenant Community Church in Canton with Rev. Jason Phillips officiating.
Burial will follow in Salem-Wilcoxen Cemetery rural Lewistown.
Memorials may be made to Buckheart Fire District and Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.
