Gary Fincham


Elmwood – Gary R. Fincham, 73, of Elmwood died on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Paradise Valley Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. 
He was born November 7, 1941, in Chicago, to
Roderic and Kathryn (Garber) Fincham.  He married Patty Runyon on October 14, 1967, in Elmwood.  She survives.
Also surviving is his mother, of Farmington; two sons, Stephen of Phoenix, Arizona and Jeffrey of St. Louis, MO; one sister, Sandra Babich of Dalton, GA; and two grandsons, Bryce and Dylan Fincham.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Gary was a veteran of the United States Navy.  He worked as a client service representative for 35 years, retiring in 2003 from McKesson in Charlotte, NC.
Gary was a proud supporter and volunteer at Camp Big Sky, where he enjoyed working with the campers.  He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Bears fan.  Gary was a member and past Commander of the Elmwood American Legion and a lifetime-member and past Commander of the Elmwood VFW.  He attended Elmwood United Methodist Church.
Cremation rites have been accorded.  A memorial service, celebrating Gary’s life, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Elmwood United Methodist Church, with Rev. Brad Watkins officiating.  Visitation will be held at the church Friday evening from 6-8 p.m.  Burial, with military honors, will be at Elmwood Township Cemetery.
Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood is in charge of arrangements.
