Canton – Helene Sheets, 79, of Canton, died at 10:13 p.m., May 31, 2015 at Clayberg Nursing Home in Cuba.
She was born on July 21, 1935 in Cologne, Germany to August and Catrina (Eich) Schneider.
She married Walter Sheets in Lewistown, he preceded her in death on September 3, 2003.
Surviving is her daughter Karen Caraushaar of Germany, she had five siblings, Martin Schneider, August Schneider, Willie Schneider, Peter Schneider, and Maria Maier, all of Germany.
Helene had been a dietician at Graham Hospital in Canton, and was a member of the Salvation Army.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services.
Memorials may be made to Clayberg Nursing Home.
Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton is in charge of arrangements.
