Mary Lou Herrick


Lewistown- Mary Lou Herrick, 86, of rural Lewistown passed away at 5:35 PM Saturday June 6, 2015 at Graham Hospital in Canton.

She was born June 23, 1928 at Cuba, the daughter of Raymond and Amy (Mason) Morgan. She married Earl H. Herrick on July 28, 1947 at Lewistown. He died April 8, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and two sisters. Surviving is one son, Danny L. (Kathy) Herrick of Canton, four daughters, Sharon (Rudy) Tompkins, Bonnie (David) Howerter, Sandra (Allen) Harper all of Lewistown, and Vickie (Stephen) Churchill of Cuba, one sister, Flossie Doyle of Popular Bluff, MO; six grandchildren, three step grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, six step great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and her dog Halo.

Mary Lou was a homemaker. She had also worked at the Wee-Ma-Tuk Country Club, and the Blue Bell factory in Bushnell. She was a Den Mother for Cub Scouts and had been a volunteer along with her husband for the local Food Share Program. Mary Lou was of the Christian Faith. She enjoyed camping, country music, reading, gardening, and canning.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba with Reverend Kevin Kessler officiating. Burial will be in Fiatt Cemetery at rural Fiatt.
