Susan “Susie” Ann Schappaugh,

Susan “Susie” Ann Schappaugh, 75, of Havana passed away at 9:14 a.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Mason District Hospital in Havana. She was born on September 18, 1948 in Canton, Illinois to Jack R. and Barbara Ellen (Mustered) Boggs, Sr. She married Paul D. Schappaugh in Havana on May 4, 1968.

Susie is survived by her husband: Paul Schappaugh of Havana, children: Kelly (Brian) Duenke and Kent David (Stephanie) Schappaugh, grandchildren: Letha Dieckow, Dustin (Jewel) Dieckow, Clayton Schappaugh, and Courtney Schappaugh, great-grandchild: Riley Thomas, father: Jack Boggs, Sr., and siblings: Jack (Donzia) Boggs, Jr. and Debi (Jim) Morgan. Also surviving are her nephews: Jeremy Boggs and J.D. Morgan, niece: Colleen Boggs, great-nephews: Jaron Boggs and Mavrick Morgan, and great-niece: Charley Morgan. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Boggs and brother, Kent Wayne Boggs.
Susie loved traveling, especially going to the beach, going on cruises, and wintering in Florida. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and taking them on trips. She enjoyed people watching, flowers, and baking, and was a wonderful caretaker.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Christ in Havana, with a visitation one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Pastor Bill Boyce will officiate.
