Richard L. Henninger

Richard Lynn Henninger, 67, of Easton passed away at 7:13 a.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Graham Hospital in Canton. He was born on April 1, 1956 in Pekin to Walter and Carol (Tisdale) Henninger. He married Sherry A. Donath on August 19, 2006 in Forest City and she preceded him in death on March 14, 2023.

Richard is survived by his children: Frank (Janel) Henninger of Washington, Illinois and Ryan (Jennifer) Henninger of Greenwood, Indiana, step-children: Shayna (Shane) Grant of Del City, Oklahoma, Tabatha (Joseph) Schultz of Canton, Felicia (Cody) Anglin of Forest City, Toni (Daniel) Bell of Greenview, and Dale Cookson II of Arenzville, 23 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and brothers: Walter Dean (Janice) Henninger of Havana, Dave Henninger of Manito, and Darren (Susan) Henninger of Oak Creek, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
Richard was raised in the Lutheran faith at St. John’s Church in Topeka. He served in the U.S. Army for 26 years and later retired from SC2. He enjoyed watching Hallmark movies and listening to country music.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana, with a visitation one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Rev. Mike Henson will officiate. Military rites will be provided by VFW Post #6408 and American Legion Post #138.
