Dunfermline – Susan “Sue” J. Ford, 70 of Dunfermline passed away Saturday December 2, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria surrounded by family.
She was born July 23, 1953 to Richard and Beverly (Slater) Hitchcock. She married Henry Alan Ford on March 8, 1975 in Smithfield. He survives. Also surviving are her three children, Tanya (Alen Avdic) Ford of Chicago, April (Terry) Covey of Mahomet, and Brandi (Troy) Shelby of Fairview, four grandchildren, Blake and Logan Shelby, Grace and Gabe Covey, and baby Avdic due in April, five brothers, two sisters, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her granddaughter, Emma, one sister, and an infant brother.
Sue worked at Prairieview Care Center for over 20 years. Upon retirement, she loved to travel and spend time with her friends and family. She cherished her time with her children and grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown with Pastor Lori Carlson officiating. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown is assisting the family with arrangements.
