Smithfield- Richard A. Moss, 70, of Smithfield, passed away at 6:03 PM on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Graham Hospital in Canton. He was born on November 26, 1953 in Christopher, Illinois, a son of Joe Kenneth and Anna Fae (Hill) Moss. He married Kathleen Mrizek on June 3, 1972 in Groveland. She survives.
Also surviving is his mother, Anna Moss of Groveland, one son, Jason (Danielle) Moss of Marietta; one daughter, Amy (Dean) VanderBann of Plainfield; five grandchildren, two brothers, Lloyd and Kenneth Moss, and one sister, Charla Moore.
Richard was preceded in death by his father, Joe Kenneth Moss.
He worked and retired from Savemore Carpet in Macomb. Richard was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt and fish, and was the prefect gardener. He enjoyed watching any sport in his free time.
