Surviving is her mother, Sharon Smith-Leathers of Havana; daughter, Katrina (Brandon) Richards of Lewistown; brother, Jerauld Smith Jr. of Texas; two sisters, Tina Thomas of Havana, Christina Pilon of Bath; several aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews, and many cousins.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Jerauld Smith Sr., step-father, James K. Leathers, and nephew, Jacob Thomas.
She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Havana.
Per Kathy’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded through Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton. A graveside service and burial of ashes will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Walkers Grove Cemetery in Easton, Illinois. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
