He was born on February 5, 1943, in Canton to Ralph and Frieda (Curless) Renner.
He married Becky Renner on June 4, 1967, in Astoria. She preceded him in death on June 16, 2020.
Also surviving are his children, Michael Renner of Farmington, Marci (Bobby) Allen of Canton, two brothers, Rex (Pat) Renner of Rochelle, IL, Don (Mary) Renner of Sycamore, IL, six grandchildren, Amelia (Scott) Begner, Broedy Renner, Brock Renner, Josh (Ashlyn) Allen, Katie Allen, Jake Allen and four great grandchildren, Hadley, Ryker, Jared and Rylee.
David served in the U.S. Airforce. He later worked as a surveyor for the local coal mines. He was a member of the Farmington United Methodist Church. David enjoyed taking his wife Becky out on dancing dates throughout their marriage. He also loved his children and grandchildren and attending the grandkid’s sporting events.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton and a graveside service will be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Farmington on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 11 am. There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be made to Farmington United Methodist Church.
