Teddy E. Hunt Jr. 76, of Farmington, passed away at 4:50 AM on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born on April 18, 1944 in Peoria, a son of Teddy E. and Merley L. (Tyrrell) Hunt Sr. He married Marilyn Miller on February 25, 1967 in Holly Springs, Mississippi. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Anissa (Ron) Krause of Pekin, IL; Darrell (Julie) Hunt of Saunemin, IL; Heather (Christopher) Lind of Omaha, NE; Jassen (Erin) Hunt of Edwards, IL; Melissa (Mike) Newell of Brownsburg, IN; ten grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Culver Hunt of Indiana; Carl Hunt of Missouri, and two sisters, Joan Barrett of Illinois; Penny Foulk of Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Mark Edward Hunt.
Teddy worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for many years, retiring on April 1, 1994, later working at Canton Walmart for several years, also as a realtor, and for Peoria Charter Coach for a couple of years. Teddy’s faith was with the Lord, as he had read the bible several times, he enjoyed gardening, his 1963 original ford thunderbird, horses as a young adult, but most of all was his love for his family.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM (Noon) on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, where visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Pastor Charles Houston will officiate. Burial of ashes will be held at a later date in White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton. Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association.
