Jan Hipple, 71. Formerly of Canton, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021 in Layfette, IN.
She was born on November 30, 1949 in Canton to George and Jean (Cook) Probyn. They preceded her in death along with one sister, Judith Largent-Jett.
She married Mike Hipple on January 27, 1968 in Canton. He survives.
Also surviving are three children, Lori (Todd) Hobbs of Canton, Trisha (John) Newland of West Mansfield, OH, Alison Jones of Biggsville, two brothers, Randol Probyn of Monticello, IN, Jeffrey (Shelly) Probyn of Canton, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Jan worked as a legal secretary and was a partner in a law firm doing mediation services.
Most of all Jan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Cremation rites have been accorded through the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton and there will be no services.
Burial of her ashes will be held at Walnut Cemetery in rural Banner at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.
