Benjamin Louis Beaird, 70, of Canton, passed away at 11:28 PM on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL. He was born on October 28, 1950 in Canton, IL to Bennie Lee and Josephine (Sepich) Beaird. He married Debra Beaird, she survives.
Also surviving are two children, Ben (Skylar Mueller) Beaird of Des Moines, IA, and Lora (Nathaniel) Fones of Carlinville, IL; five grandchildren, Randon Kruzan, Samantha, Ella, Miranda Hillebrand-Sepich, and Jonathan Hillebrand; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Stephen (Mary) Beaird of Cuba, IL; four sisters, Patti (Bill) Riley of Wee-Ma-Tuk, IL, Susan (Tom) Mahrt of Cape Coral, FL, Jane (Robin Bessler) Manock of Canton, IL, and Paula (Mike) Monari of Farmington, IL.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Damon Sepich, and one sister, Mary Beaird.
Ben was a bartender at Josie’s Tap from 1981-2006 and later worked at Caterpillar. He was also an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.
Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
