Steven Frederick Rothert, 75, of Canton, IL passed away at 11:28 PM on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Graham Hospital. He was born on December 20, 1945 in Richmond, Indiana to Fred and Naomi (Lingenfelter) Rothert. He married Rebecca Sue Little on December 5, 1986 in Lewistown, IL. She survives.
Also surviving are four children, Brian (Julianne) Rothert of Raleigh, North Carolina, Mark Rothert of Pekin, IL, Scott (Maggie) Yerbic of Canton, IL, and Amy (Chris) Marshall of Canton, IL; 10 grandchildren, Morgan, Carson, Ethan, and Christian Rothert, Zoe, Ryan, Ean, and Sutton Yerbic, Taylor and Rilea Marshall; and one great grandchild, Dylan Yerbic.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Doug Rothert, and one sister, P.K. Anderson.
Steve worked at Navistar and retired after 30+ years of service. Steve was also a Veteran of the United States Army from 1965-1970. He enjoyed spending his time gardening, woodworking, and fishing.
Per Steve’s wishes, there will be no public service. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Memorials can be made to the Special Olympics of Canton. To make online condolences you may go to www.sedgwickfuneralhomes.com
