Errol G. Brewer, 88, of Elmwood, IL, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at his home. He was born June 2, 1932 in Knox County, IL the son of Errol G. and Martha (Huffman) Brewer. He married Donna Snyder on October 23, 1954 in Farmington, IL, they have been married for sixty-six years, she survives.
Also surviving are three children Gary Brewer, Valerie (Ken) Pickens, Kurt (Sandra) Brewer; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Gale, Kari (Josh) Gattung, Matthew Brewer, Kenny Pickens, Alisabet Garcia, Elizabeth (Steve) Barrick, Issac (Jessica) Garcia; fifteen great-grandchildren including a set of triplets and two great-great-grandsons.
His parents and one sister preceded him in death.
Errol graduated from Elmwood High School in 1950. He worked at Caterpillar for 37 years retiring from a management position in 1987. He did custom farm work for many years then starting farming on his own up to this year, which he loved to do. He was a member of the Farmington Moose Lodge and a member of the United Methodist church in Elmwood.
A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood. Due to Covid mandates, face masks and social distancing will be required. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, March 28, 2021, at Elmwood Township Cemetery.
