David A. Anderson, 69, of Farmington, passed away at 4:51 PM on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Graham Hospital. He was born on October 31, 1951 in Canton to William Earl and Evalyn (Cowser) Anderson. He married Patricia “Pat” Stear on August 1, 1981 in Farmington, IL. She preceded him in death on May 4, 2020.
Also preceding him in death were his parents, one daughter, Joni Johnson, and one grandson, Christian Adkins.
Surviving are three children, Dale (Patricia) Adkins of Farmington, Rhonda (Mark) Dawson of Farmington, and John (Helen) Adkins of West Peoria; son-in-law, David Johnson of Chillicothe; 14 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
David worked as a meat cutter at the Farmington Locker Plant for over 40 years. He was a member of the Farmington Moose Lodge 1571, Farmington Odd Fellows, Ducks Unlimited, and the Farmington Sportsman Club.
A visitation will be held from 2-4 PM on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington. Services will be held at 10 AM on Monday, March 22, 2021 at the funeral home. Rev. Kevin VanTine will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Farmington, IL. Memorials can be made to the Farmington Rescue Squad 1100.
