Donna Jean Turner, 91, of Lewistown, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Graham Hospital. She was born on January 18, 1930 in Canton, the daughter of Donald and Velma Atherton.
Surviving is her husband, Roland Turner of Lewistown; step-son, Todd (Kathy) Turner of Ohio; grandson, Ryne Turner of Ohio; nephew, John Atherton of FL; nieces, Tyrrell (Larry) Whitman of Lewistown and Kathy (Fred) Seldas of NM.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John Atherton of Lewistown.
Donna retired in 1987 from Caterpillar after 35 years. She loved her job in export sales. After retiring, she relocated to Florida, and then returned to Illinois, settling in Lewistown in 1994. She built a wonderful home for her and her mother. While in Lewistown, she worked at Day & Palin and enjoyed meeting people. Donna was a member of the Lewistown VFW Post 5001 Auxiliary and a member of the First Baptist Church in Canton, IL.
A visitation will be held from 10-11 AM on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Graveside services will be held at 11:45 AM on Wednesday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown, IL. Rev. Monroe Bailey will officiate. Memorials can be made to First Baptist Church in Canton, IL.
