Marilyn Lucille Groff, age 84 of Macomb, Illinois, formerly of Astoria, passed away at 10:44 am on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at The Elms in Macomb. She was born on December 24, 1936 in Pekin, Illinois, the daughter of Frank and Grace (Strubhar) Goulding. Marilyn married Phillip Dean Groff on June 4, 1954 in Ipava, Illinois. He preceded her in death on January 5, 2009.
Marilyn was also preceded in death by her parents, great-granddaughter Alexis Miller, one brother Gene Eberle, and two sisters, Irene Heffren and Sharon Goulding.
She is survived by her son Bob (and Marcia) Groff of Canton, Illinois, two daughters, Pam Fugate of Industry, Illinois and Lisa (and Ryan) Sullivan of Table Grove, Illinois, five grandchildren; Shane (and Stacy) Gilmore, Tisha Miller, Mason McCormick, Madison McCormick, and Easton Sullivan, five great-Grandchildren; Laci Miller, Colby Miller, Benton Gilmore, Jacob Gilmore, and Cassy Gilmore, and one brother, Frank (and Judy) Goulding of Bushnell, Illinois.
Marilyn was a homemaker. She also worked at Pioneer Seed Company as a sorter.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of Marilyn's life will be held a a future date.
