Canton –Marilyn M. Johnson, 81, passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018, at Renaissance Care Center in Canton.
She was born on April 25, 1936 in Afton, Iowa to Bernard and Dorothy (Moreland) Thomas. They preceded her in death along with one son Jeffrey Johnson.
Surviving are her two sons Cliff (Karen) Johnson of Denver, CO, Jay (Megan) Hunt of Glasford, one sister, Karen Dorsett of Summerset, IA, six grandchildren, Misty Schuetz, Melissa Brown, Morgan Murphy, Scott Johnson, Mike Johnson, Reggie Jo Hunt and three great grandchildren, Emily Johnson, Benjamin Johnson and Rhett Algrim.
She operated Obee Coal Construction in Kansas City, KS and later the “Gone Fishin” bait shop in Canton.
Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton is entrusted with arrangements.
