Margey A. Staub

Margey A. Staub, 82, of West Peoria, formerly of Brimfield, passed away at 5:07 p.m., on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Heddington Oaks in West Peoria.
She was born on May 11, 1935, in Bloomington, IL, to James and Marion (Dauel) Peifer. She married Ray McCormick on October 31, 1953, in California. He preceded her in death on January 14, 1980. Later in life, she married Ernest Staub on May 20, 2000, in Chillicothe. He preceded her in death on April 12, 2017.
She is survived by her step-mother, Marjorie Peifer; three children, James (Debbie) McCormick of Trivoli, Rayeanne (Phil) Maher of rural Elmwood, and Mitchell (Virginia) McCormick; four step-children, Margie (Jack) Cox of Bartonville, Bob Staub of Oklahoma, James (Jo Ann) Staub of East Peoria, and Karen (Doug) Mason of Missouri; one brother, George Peifer; one sister, Avis ( Garrie) Atkins; twenty-four grandchildren; and forty great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, William McCormick; and one grandson, Jesse Dietrich.
Margey was a member of the Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church in Peoria.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood, with a visitation one hour prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow the service at Brimfield Township Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the graveside service at the Brimfield Legion.
