Canton – Madine McMahon, 93, of Canton passed away at 3:13 am Saturday, April 07, 2018 at Graham Hospital in Canton. She was born on November 27, 1924 in Sidney, TX. to Zachary and Crystal (Fannyworth) Harrison. Madine married Eugene V. McMahon on August 16, 1942 in Houston, TX. He preceded her in death on January, 30, 2010. Also preceding her in death were her parents, daughter Linda McMahon, three brothers, and two sisters. Surviving is a daughter Lorraine (Pat) Corkran of Owensboro, KY, two sisters; Ethel Cleckley and Zetta (Melvin) Hart both of Houston, TX, and two grandsons; Jeremy Corkran of St. Petersburg, FL, and Shaun Corkran of San Francisco, CA.
Madine attended Fairview Reformed Church in Fairview. She was a member of Wee-Ma-Tuk Country Club where she was the women’s club champion multiple times. Madine loved to sew, oil paint, and quilt. She quilted with groups at the Fairview Library and in Norris. Being in a military family they moved around a lot but Madine always was able to make every place seem like home.
Services will be 2pm Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Fairview. The Rev.
