Beverly A. Roberts, 78, of Macomb, IL, passed away at 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Wesley Village in Macomb. She was born on July 2, 1939 in Ipava, IL, the daughter of Gerald and Ilene (Berry) Groff. Beverly married Howard Roberts on August 26, 1960 in Blandinsville, IL. He survives.
Survivors also include her 3 sons, Jack Roberts of Oneida, IL, Jerry Roberts of Chicago, IL and Jody (and Kimberly) Roberts of Altona, IL, 8 grandchildren, Chris, Courtney, Katelynn, Hope, Kiersten, Caroline, Kelly and Lindsay, 2 great-grandchildren, Elikk and Lillith, sister, Diana (and John) Modlin of Adair, IL, niece, Danielle Sirtak of LaHarpe, IL, sister-in-law, Donnabelle Aleshire of Macomb, IL, sister-in-law- Judy Murtin of Macomb, IL and brother-in-law, Doc Roberts of Macomb, IL.
She is preceded in death by brother, Jack Groff.
Beverly was a homemaker. She was a member of the Rio Home Extension. Beverly was a big fan of anything Elvis Presley. She loved animals and plants and flowers. She enjoyed painting ceramics, crafts and baking. She was a people person.
A graveside service at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in the Ipava Cemetery in Ipava, IL. Pastor Dean Potts will be officiating. A visitation will take place from 2 to 4 pm on Tuesday, April 17th at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, IL. Memorials can be made to the McDonough District Hospice.
